Holo from the Netherlands - Teez Cool

Teez holos have long been on my lemming list, and thanks to Angelique from Meisie's Nail, I am able to have all three of them!

Teez Cool - 2 coats with top coat

Today I am showing you Teez Cool, a sky blue scattered holo. The prismatic effect is really pretty, not as loud as your China Glaze OMGs, but still strong enough to be noticed.

The formula is easy to deal with, but I find the Teez brush a bit on the wide side, like even wider than OPI. However these photos are taken without cleanup, so it isn't too bad with a careful application.

Teez is a polish brand that is only available from the Netherlands, and as far as I know, Teez has only released three holos in blue (Cool), pink (Smooth), and purple (Outta Control). I will be showing you the pink and the purple ones soon, but for now, I wish you a happy weekend!

Holy Moly! Tony Moly - GT02 Earth

Tony Moly GT02 Earth - two coats with no top coat

I am a bit late to the party, and you must have seen swatches of this polish floating around the cyberspace by now, but still here I present you with GT02 Earth from Tony Moly!

Check out the glitters!

Earth is from the Tony Moly Galaxy Collection, and is quite a complex polish. It has a semi-jelly black base, and is packed with tiny pink, green, blue and silver glitters. Although it dries on the gritty side, and that I don't usually like glitter polishes, I still love how mysterious and sparkly Earth looks!

A Bottle Shot
My friend got this polish for me when she was visiting Seoul, but you may also buy Earth (and the rest of the collection) from eBay. Since I plan to visit Seoul myself early next year, I will wait to get the rest of the collection then!

A Blue French Manicure

French Manicure with OPI Absolutely Alice
Just a quick post today. I wanted to try OPI Absolutely Alice on, but since I don't think a full glitter mani looks good on me, I used it for French manicure tips instead.

What do you girls think? I think it looks quite good (even if my free hand skill is not perfect)! Absolutely Alice is a blue based glitter mixed with tiny gold and silver sparkles, and I am starting to get what the rave is all about.

What I use:
- Color Club base coat
- OPI Passion, 2 coats (base nail color)
- OPI Absolutely Alice (French tips)

Zoya Marina

Zoya Marina - two coats with top coat

Zoya Marina is from my favorite Fall Collection this season, Smoke & Mirrors by Zoya.  It is greyish blue with a shimmery, semi-frost finish.

Marina may not be the star of the collection (Neeka is in my opinion), but it is still a very lovely and apt color for Fall. The formula is what I have come to expected from Zoya, where application is smooth as butter. I hear from some polish bloggers that they have bubbling problems with Zoya, and that the drying time is exceptionally long, but fortunately I have never encountered such problems.

I am still expecting Cynthia from a swap, and then I would have all the polishes I want from the Smoke & Mirrors collection. That's it from me ladies, hope you are enjoying the weekend!

One of my favorites: A-England Tristam

A-England Tristam - two coats with no top coat
A-England Tristam is easily one of my favorite polishes of all times. It is a gorgeous dark blue scattered holo that sparkles like stars do at night. Tristam is like a sophisticated, classy lady who shines amongst the crowd. It really is divine!

Formula is great too, making the application effortless. The finish of Tristam is so glossy you could get away without a topcoat if you wish.

If you have not got Tristam yet, do yourself a favor and get it asap! A-England polishes can be purchased on on A-England's website, or from Llarowe.

A first for me: Essence Back to 50's

Hello my dear readers! First of all, apologies for the lack of post in the past week, I was preoccupied with Tiny Tower and didn't have much time for anything else! (for those who doesn't know, it is a free iPhone game app, and it is super addictive! If you like Sim Tower, then you'd love this!)

Essence Back to 50's - two coats with top coat

So back to polish talk. Why is this a first for me? Well that's because this is the first time I wear a red polish (holo does not count)! I have always avoided red, thinking it is not the color for me. But when I received this polish from a swap, I thought I might as well try it out, and I am pleasantly surprised!

Under dimmer lights
Back to 50's is part of Essence 50's Girls Reloaded collection. It is a true red creme with a semi-jelly finish, giving it a vibrant and youthful look. The formula is good too, it is opaque with two coats.

All in all, I am definitely going to keep Back to 50's, because a polish collection is not complete without a red creme!

Glitter Gal - Dark Purple 3D Hologrpahic

Glitter Gal Dark Purple is the last polish I have yet to try amongst my polish haul from Australia, and boy am I glad I finally got around to it!

Glitter Gal Dark Purple - two coats with top coat

Dark Purple is from the Glitter Gal 3D Holographic range, and it doesn't take a genius to work out that it is a dark purple holo polish. I am surprised it is not a very dark purple though (as the name suggests), but rather a juicy grape purple, making it looks very yummy! The linear prismatic effect is breathtaking, even under dim lights, which makes this polish so awesome!

As I have come to expect from Glitter Gal, the formula is flawless, and I get full opacity with two easy coats. I also love that applying a top coat does not dull the strong linear effect.

What do you girls think of this polish? I think it is pretty amazing! I will definitely be getting more Glitter Gal polishes in the near future, because a girl can never have too many holos!

Nail Polish Review: A England Galahad

Hello ladies! I have a special post for you today, as I am doing my very first review on A England Galahad!

A England Galahad - two coats with base and top coats

Galahad is part of The Mythicals collection from A England, and is described as a 'mystic vibrant blue green' creme polish. This description is very apt, as Galahad is an exuberant aqua blue with a strong green/teal base. It is such a unique shade, and I love the complexity and depth of this polish!

Here Galahad shows more green

The formula of Galahad is also a pleasure to work with. A tiny bit on the thick side, but application is still a breeze, and you could get away with one thick coat if you wish (here I did two coats for photo purpose). No clean-up is required because the brush picks up just the right amount of polish, and it is easy to control.

So vibrant yet sophisticated!

I wanted to add a little extra to show off this gorgeous polish, so I simply added a clear rhinestone to my middle finger.  I really like this design as it accentuates the beautiful Galahad, to the point that I can't stop looking at my nails all day!

Do you like Galahad as much as I do? Do you own any A England polish? If you have not heard about this brand before, you can visit the website: http://www.a-england.co.uk/ to find out more. A England polishes are free from all harmful toxins, and are completely cruelty-free as well. A England also offers FREE SHIPPING to anywhere in the world, so make sure to pay them a visit online today!

*Disclaimer: This product is sent to me by the company/PR for my unbiased and honest opinion

A Duo Beauty: Chemistry #521

Chemistry #521 - two coats with top coat

Today I have for you another polish I brought back from Australia, Chemistry #521. #521 is a grape purple base duochrome, which shifts from purple to burgundy / pinkish red / copper depending on the lighting.

This is almost a completely different shade to the base color!
Although I am usually not a fan of duochrome, #521 is gorgeous because it has tiny pink and purple shimmers that dance on your nails. I also have a lot of fun moving my hands all over the place, trying to see if I can discover more "hidden" colors!  I love the Chemistry polish formula too, two easy coats with minimal cleanup required.

I really don't have much else to say, so I will leave you with more swatches of this color shifting beauty!

Chemistry Holos Skittle Swatch

When I went back to Melbourne in September for a family visit/ holiday, I picked up a few Chemistry polishes, namely holos and duochromes. You may not have heard of Chemistry, but it is the same polish as Ozotic Pro (just under a different name). Even the polish codes are the same.

Chemistry Skittle Swatch - all two coats
Doesn't this look like rainbow skittles on my nails? All the Chemistry holos are so pretty, with such a strong linear prismatic effect!

#513 is a grape purple holo, #522 is a pink mauve, #516 is a pale pinkish lilac, and #518 is the famous Ozotic true red holo. The formula of these is faultless; no bald spots and is pretty much opaque after two easy coats.

I am really in love with these Chemistry polishes! Unfortunately, they are only sold within Australia via Essential Beauty. If you are not from Australia, you could pick these up under the Ozotic Pro brand at a slightly higher price. I can't wait to get more Chemistry when I go back to Australia next time!

Dupe Comparison: OPI Merry Midnight vs. Orly Fowl Play vs. Sasatinnie FCGL002

Hello girls! I am a bit late to the party, but nevertheless, here is a quick comparison between OPI Merry Midnight vs. Orly Fowl Play vs. Sasatinnie FCGL002.

Swatch Comparison: all three coats
As you can see (apologies for the lack of cleanup), MM is a shade lighter than FP and SS (to read about my SS post, click here). FP is also more opaque after three coats, and has more flakes than the other two. They are all very similar though, a dark purple jelly base with tiny pink, blue and silver glitters and large copper flakes.

If I could only keep one out of this lot, my pick would be Orly Fowl Play. I like that it has the most depth, and can be used on its own. The other two are best used for layering. Since Merry Midnight has long been discontinued and is now a HTF, Fowl Play and Sasatinnie are cheap alternatives that are easily accessible!
