An Oldie but a Goodie - China Glaze Grape Crush

China Glaze Grape Crush - two coats with top coat
Grape Crush has been a long time lemming of mine, what can you say, I am a sucker for purple and holo! A scattered holo with a frosty purple base, Grape Crush is definitely a stunner!

The only downside to Grape Crush is that it has been long discontinued and is now a HTF, so you might have to brave the Evil Bay if you want to get to own this beauty. Unfortunately I cannot really think of a similar dupe to Grape Crush, can you?

Cult Nails Hypnotize Me!

I have had this layering idea popped into my mind, so I went ahead and tried it out. This is Cult Nails Hypnotize Me over two coats of China Glaze Fuchsia Fanatic.

Cult Nails Hypnotize Me over China Glaze Fuchsia Fanatic

Hypnotize Me is a sheer green jelly with blue and green micro glitters. The glitters are so vibrant and so dense, all you need is one coat to achieve such a sparkly effect! The formula is a little bit on the gluey side, and it dries to a gritty touch (so you would need a generous coat or two of top coat), but apart that, I love this polish so much!

Do you like this layering combination as much as I do?

A Layering Beauty - Missha JVL01

Missha JVL01 - one coat over OPI Planks A Lot
I love layering, because it creates endless unique combination, and it can give an old mani a brand new look (perfect if you are a bit bored with your current mani, but feel too lazy to redo it)!

Missha JVL01 is a clear base lilac micro shimmer, suspended with silver and magenta micro glitters. Too sheer to be worn on its own, JVL01 stands out like a shining beauty when layered on top a creme. I chose OPI Planks A Lot here to bring out the lilac shade.

Apart from the extraordinary large brush that Missha uses, I love everything about JVL01, especially its smooth finish despite all the glitters and sparkles. Since Missha is a South Korean brand, you can try your luck on eBay for this polish if there is no any Missha shop around where you are located.

A Special Franken - Banana Eggs!

Banana Eggs - two coats with no top coat

Banana Eggs is a very unique franken made by a talented lady from one of my FB groups! You just feel special and privileged when you are own a custom polish, because you know it is handmade with love!

Suspended in a white creme base, Banana Eggs is packed with gold, fuchsia and blue glitters that come in various sizes and shapes. A bit like Robin eggs, this is such a cute and fun polish! The only down side is my skintone does not really agree with white polish, so otherwise I would definitely be wearing Banana Eggs more often!

Orly Butterfly, another gorgeous jelly polish!

Orly Butterfly - two coats with no top coat
As you may have noticed lately, I have been on a jelly craze, so I am absolutely delighted with Orly Butterfly, a bubblegum pink jelly (swatch pics are more pink than it is in real life) that complements my skin tone so well!

Opaque in two coats, and yet it still has the glossy and squishy finish that I love so much, Butterfly has become one of my favorite jellies of all time! My nails look so yummy I almost want to lick them haha! I can see Butterfly will be my go-to summer polish, and I look forward to trying various layering combination with it!

Jade Delirio Rosa

Jade Delirio Rosa - two coats with Jade Magia Negra as French tip

Another Brazilian beauty for you today! Jade holos have caused a not-so-small stir in the nail world recently, and it is easy to see why! Prominent linear holo effect, interesting shades, easy application, no wonder everybody is raving about these Jades!

Delirio Rosa is a vibrant pink holo. Although there are many pink holos out there, I can't quite think of a dupe! Since I hardly wear bright pink color, I decided to do a French funky tip with a black Jade holo, Magia Negra, to give this mani a (literally) cooler edge. I hope you like the result!

A Brazilian Beauty! Sebrina Sabo Quero Amor with Zoya Pinta

Apologies for my lack of posts lately, I have had a few cuts to my cuticles so I have to put a stop to swatching, but I'm back now!

Sebrina Sata Quero Amor - one coat over Zoya Pinta

I received an awesome swap package from a very nice Brazilian girl earlier this week, and amongst all the beauties, Quero Amor, a flakie by Sebrina Sabo Passe Nati, is my favorite. Irregular duochrome flakes that shift from blue to green, Quero Amor is also packed with pink microshimmers that make this polish stands out from the rest of the flakies.  I also love the density of Quero Amor, as one coat would give you a very good coverage.

Check out that shimmer!

I always prefer to use a dark color base because it could show off the flakie better, so this time I used Zoya Pinta, a very dark royal blue creme with a hint of purple. It has the typical perfect Zoya formula, and it is a one coater! Here is a photo of Pinta on its lonesome:
