Essence Vampire's Love Collection - Into the Dark and Dawn is Broken

Today I have two polishes from the Essence TE Vampire's Love Collection for you.

Essence Into The Dark - two coats with top coat
02 Into the Dark is a dark blue packed with silver shimmers. I thought the name is very apt, as it reminds me of the sky when it is just about to be pitch black.

Essence Dawn is Broken - two coats with top coat
04 Dawn is Broken is a light grey with micro silver and blue glitters. It dries a little bit gritty, but nothing a thick top coat can't fix.

I cannot fault the formula of these polishes, and as I love shimmery polishes, these are right up my alley. The Vampire's Love Collection has a total of five polishes, and I shall show you the rest soon!

Nail Art with my favorite Zoyas

Hello girls! Today I have a simple nail art mani for you, using two of my favorite Zoyas - Kelly and Caitlin!

Zoya Kelly with Zoya Caitlin for tips

I applied Kelly as my base, then used the Scotch tape technique to do the tips with Caitlin. To finish the mani off (or rather, to cover the imperfect line of my tape mani), I drew a silver line between the two colors with Nubar silver art pen.

I quite like the color combination, and I have received a few compliments from others! What do you think? Have you tried this mani before?

Nail Art Stamping: Chemistry #518 w/ Gosh Holographic

I love everything to do with bows, and I love to use this cute bow from my Fauxnad plate to add a little cuteness to my mani.

Base: Chemistry #518 stamped with Gosh Holographic

I used Gosh Holographic for the bow, it is a great polish for stamping! As for the base polish, it is #518 by Chemistry, a pinkish red linear holo. The prismatic effect of #518 is so strong, it almost hurts my eyes to look at it under the sun! The formula is faultless too, I must get more Chemistry polishes next time I go back to Australia!

Chemistry #518, two coats with no topcoat

Nail Art Stamping: Aritaum Pink Holo with Color Club Wild At Heart

Aritaum Pink Holo stamped with Color Club Wild At Heart

Hello girls, how are we all doing? Chinese New Year is almost here, so I wanted to do something fancy to my nails to celebrate this very important festival!

I really like using Color Club Wild At Heart for stamping; although the holo effect is not very obvious, it definitely brings out the stamping pattern.

Aritaum Pink Holo - two coats with no top coat

And here is Aritaum Pink Holo on its lonesome. Aritaum is a South Korean brand, and it has two holo polishes, a pink and a purple (for the purple holo post, click here). The application is a dream! I can't wait to go to Seoul next month to check out more Aritaum polishes, and many more!

Duochrome Beauty - Hard Candy Beetle

Hardy Candy Beetle - two coats with no top coat
Today I have for you a gorgeous duochrome, Beetle from Hardy Candy. It is a foil like duochrome that shifts from yellowish gold, to coppery green, to purple. It is also packed with micro silver, purple and blue shimmers that give even more depth to this amazing polish!

I have tried to capture this beauty the best I can, please enjoy the swatches!

Color Club Shabby Drab

I am a sucker for any blurple polish, so when Color Club released Shabby Drab from their Back to Boho Collection, I knew I must get it.

Color Club Shabby Drab - three coats
Shabby Drab is a dusty cornflower creme, and although the formula is a bit on the sheer side (I did three coats here), I like how it has a milky and squishy finish.

I got a bunch of Nubar art pens a couple months ago, so I used the gold one and drew two diagonal lines to spice up my mani. It is a very simple nail art, but I quite like end result! Do you girls agree? :)

Layering: Missha Pink Pearl over Essie Power Clutch

Missha Pink Pearl top coat (one coat) over Essie Power Clutch (two coats)

I have had this Missha Pink Pearl top coat hidden away for awhile now, and finally I get to try it today! It is a clear base top coat packed with multicolor shimmers, and boy am I totally wowed by the gorgeous effect! This top coat gives out a soft, almost pastel-looking shimmery look, and all the different colors just blow me away. Here is a closer look:

Isn't it just amazing? I can see yellow, lilac, pink, blue, orange and green tiny shimmers shining through. This would definitely jazz up any creme polish to make it a little extra special!

Essie Power Clutch - two coats
And here is Essie Power Clutch by itself. It is a dark grey creme from the 2011 Fall Collection. Formula is good and easy to apply, and it is such an appropriate shade for the Fall/Winter. It also makes a great base for layering because of its darker color, I can't wait to play around with it some more!

Nubar - Treasure

Just a quick post today. Nubar is a light purple scattered holo, and I really like it because even though the holo effect is quite subdued,  it is not in your face and still very pretty.

Nubar Treasure (two coats) with China Glaze Latticed Lilac (french tips)
I got some minor tipwear after a day, so I did a french mani with China Glaze Latticed Lilac crackle polish to cover it up. This is such a quick and easy way to change the look of any mani, I will be using this combination more!

Have you tried this mani before? Personally I am glad to find a new way to use my crackle polishes! Do you have other suggestions or ideas? I would love to hear from you!

Butter London - All Hail The Queen with Essence Circus Confetti

Hello my readers! Today I have for you Butter London All Hail The Queen. I wanted to go for a more neutral color after all the glamorous holiday mani, and AHTQ seems like the perfect choice.

Butter London All Hail The Queen (two coats) layered with Essence Circus Confetti (one coat)

Then I thought being New Year and all, why not jazz it up a little with Essence Circus Confetti? I really like how this turns out; a mani that is not in your face but still fun!

AHTQ two coats with no top coat
And here is All Hail The Queen on its lonesome. It is a neutral / beige with tiny micro holo glitters. It applies on nails like butter, and dries to a very glossy finish. Initially I thought this looks like a boring polish inside the bottle, but it makes me feel more sophisticated and ladylike after putting it on my nails, I really love it!

New Year's Eve Mani

Happy New Year peeps! Here is to 2012, may the new year brings everybody good health, good fortune, and most importantly, more awesome polishes!

OPI Lucerne Tainly Look Marvelous (three coats) with Essence silver stamping polish

Just a quick post on my NYE mani. I used OPI Lucerne Tainly Look Marvelous as a base color, and did a simple stamping with Essence silver stamping polish to jazz it up. Although my stamping skill is still not the greatest, I like how it turns out, elegant and not over the top. I got quite a few compliments on my nails too! I am also in awe of how awesome Lucerne Tainly Look Marvelous looks! The tiny pink, green, yellow, blue and purple shimmers twinkle on the pewter base, stunning!

That's it girls, thank you for sticking around and showing your support for my blog. I look forward to sharing more gorgeous polishes with you in 2012! :D
